Slow Day At WorkI sit toughtfully staring out As the hours stretch on into infinity The sun droops lower, bringing with it A false promise of the days end As it droops slowly towards the horizon And steals the light, I know it is just the begining My attention wavers, and my perception of reality becomes distorted The phone rings jolting me back to time and its slow passing As the darkness grows, and the end draws near Anticipation trips the already stumbling time Forcing it to be more careful Making it walk slower, watching its step Until it finally reaches its destinationSlow Day At Work
